Watering Hole Deep

After taking a beautiful morning run, I was struck by the euphoric feeling of being home and I felt like I needed to untangle myself with some poetry- so I opened the 'angsty poetry yay' doc and found this old thing! I had nearly forgotten that I'd written this- ah, trying to find a sanctuary to write in college was absolute hell in the truest sense of the word, yet somehow, I managed to churn this pleasant little piece out while in the dark, on the floor, inbetween the stacks of books that students never visit (college kids only ever go to the library to study anyways while the books just rot) and I had the company of a family of mice.
Fuck college. I'd be happy enough working minimum wage at a coffee shop and living in a closet-sized apartment all my life as long as I could continue to write and draw in my free time.
For those who didn't pay attention to the Egypt portion of History class- Anubis is the Egyptian god of the afterlife.
